Developmental trauma is among the most misunderstood and undertreated conditions in the mental health field. This is not because clinicians don't care, but because many graduate programs provide limited education about the impact of early trauma and the experiences of families raising children with developmental trauma disorder. The result is that well-meaning professionals often find themselves unprepared, and families are left without the support they deserve.

RAD Advocates exists to bridge that gap. We work directly with families navigating developmental trauma every day, bringing their experiences and perspectives into the training we offer professionals. Our education is not just clinician-designed — it's family-vetted. We believe effective clinician training begins with understanding the experiences, challenges, and needs of the families they support.
